Orpington travelled to the Medway Valley area of Kent to meet mid-table Snodland last Saturday and ran out 3-0 winners.

Although the O's will be pleased with the result, the match was closer than the scoreline suggests.  Orpington enjoyed a lot of possession in the first-half but only managed a few telling chances on goal.  Eventually the breakthrough arrived on thirty-five minutes when Adam Noad's lob over the defence allowed Perry Belchamber to flick the ball past Darren Broadmore in the Snodland goal.

Orpington attacked down the slope in the second-half and started to create more goal scoring opportunities.  However, Snodland threatened on a number of occasions to grab an equaliser.  The O's had to wait until five minutes to go to kill the game off - a sweeping move involving, Gary Gorman and Anthony Weir led to Broadmore spilling Dave Johnson's shot allowing debutant, Adam Ellson, to score from close range.  Less than a minute later, Rob Quick's powerful strike from twenty-five yards completed the scoring.

The win maintains the O's in second spot in the table.  Next week, Orpington entertain Bearsted kick-off 2pm.
